Accommodation in the beautiful Baldwin valley on the Isle of Man

Welcome to the website of Ballawyllin Farm in the beautiful East Baldwin valley on the Isle of Man, a perfect place to relax and enjoy all that the Island has to offer.  We offer self-catering accommodation in a refurbished one bedroomed 19th century Manx stone cottage and two open-plan dome-shaped Manx cottages inspired by the shape of Celtic roundhouses (Orchard and Meadow cottages).  All three cottages have exclusive use of their own electrically-heated cedar hot tubs.  We have recently installed solar panels to generate most of the annual energy requirements for the three cottages by renewable means.

We also have B&B accommodation available in the main house, and we have received the Breakfast and Harvest Awards for our delicious breakfasts made using local/organic ingredients.

Please note that travel to the Isle of Man by non-residents will be permitted from 28th June 2021 but only if they have received both doses of vaccine at least two weeks prior to travel.  Important processes and restrictions apply, including the possibility of isolation of 10 days on-Island being required if you test positive for Covid-19 during your stay.  Please check details at Please ensure your travel insurance will cover you for costs of an extended isolation stay if required, which will probably need to be in other accommodation than ours as we are usually fully booked in advance.

Ballawyllin is first mentioned in Manx records in the 1770s. In the mid 1800s it was farmed by the Cannell family. In more recent years the further fields have gradually been sold off to adjoining farms, leaving the current house and cottage set in five acres with stunning views across the beautiful countryside of the Baldwin Valley.
